Program Overview:
To educate health care professionals on the Management of Kidney Disease.

Objectives:  

  1. Identify three metabolic and/or pathologic comorbidities of chronic kidney disease and interventions to control them.
  2. Define available treatment options when and if dialysis becomes necessary.
  3. Discuss the link between provider and patient recognition of CKD , including coding and patient education.

Speaker Bio:
Andrea Easom, MA, MNSc, APRN, FNP-BC, CNN-NP is an instructor in the UAMS Nephrology Division,has 38 years of nephrology nursing experience, holds several degrees in nursing and psychology and is a nationally certified nurse practitioner in both family practice and nephrology. Her clinical focus is chronic kidney disease stages 3 through 5.
