Kidney Disease

Program Overview: To educate health care professionals on the Management of Kidney Disease. |
Objectives: - Identify three metabolic and/or pathologic comorbidities of chronic kidney disease and interventions to control them.
- Define available treatment options when and if dialysis becomes necessary.
- Discuss the link between provider and patient recognition of CKD , including coding and patient education.

Speaker Bio: Andrea Easom, MA, MNSc, APRN, FNP-BC, CNN-NP is an instructor in the UAMS Nephrology Division,has 38 years of nephrology nursing experience, holds several degrees in nursing and psychology and is a nationally certified nurse practitioner in both family practice and nephrology. Her clinical focus is chronic kidney disease stages 3 through 5. |
