Kara Mincy, RN takes the fear out of research and demonstrates how Evidence Based Practice, or clinical practices based on research, supports improved outcomes and better care. 

Objectives

 

By the end of the session the participant will be able to:

  1. Define Evidence Based Practice (EBP) as it relates to clinical practice.
  2. Provide examples of how EBP benefits clinical practice and patient care.
  3. Transform care that is not EBP using the EBP model.

Biographical Info

Kara Mincey, BSN, RN, CHPN, CRS is the clinical nurse manager at the Longevity Center at UAMS. Her background includes several years as an NICU nurse and as a member of the Nursing Research Council.
