Knowledge Gap: 
The purpose of this activity is to provide ongoing education for Arkansas nurses who are involved in the evaluation and treatment of sexually abused children.

Target Audience
The target audience includes nurses who would like to learn about the evaluation of children who may have been sexually abused and how it pertains to their respective profession.

Objectives for SHIPS' WINTER 2017

1. Discuss the key components of the updated NCA medical standards.
2. Describe findings of the Gallion paper related to exam findings that may be useful in testimony.
3. Describe findings of the Gallion paper related to childrens’ use of language regarding sexual abuse that may be useful in testimony.
