Program Overview: The purpose of this activity is to educate nurses on emergency preparedness in the NICU. |
Objectives: - List 3 reasons it is important to have an emergency preparedness plan.
- Identify equipment needed in order to prepare for an emergency.
- Discuss the importance of drills to prepare for an evacuation.

Speaker Bio: Rebecca K. Smith, BSN, RNC-NIC has worked in neonatal nursing for the last 29 years at UAMS. She is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Administration and Education from UAMS. She loves working with the families and babies in the NICU. |
