Program Overview:

In this presentation, the provider will be given information on common breast complaints as well as when to refer to a specialist for further treatment.


 

Objectives:  

  1. Outline common breast complaints faced by gynecologists and primary care physicians.
  2. Discuss differential diagnosis to breast disease.
  3. Discuss workup for breast complaints and when to refer for specialty services.

Knowledge Gap:
Lack of understanding of common breast complaints and diseases.

Speaker Bio:
Brianna Whittemore, MD is a 4th year resident (2016-2017) in the UAMS Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  She attended the University of Florida as an undergraduate, and earned her medical degree from St. Louis University.  Dr. Whittemore plans to practice in Okinawa for the US Navy.
