Biographical Info
Jon Allen has 25 years of experience with HIV patient care with 18 of those years spend in AR. He works in infectious diseases and with ANGELS at UAMS.

Program Overview
Clinicians are faced with complex care of patients who either don’t know they have HIV or who have it but do not understand how to manage it. The care is complex and many nurses are unaware of the current guidelines for care or the statistics on who has it/how it’s most frequently transmitted.

Objectives
Describe the link between HIV testing and prevention of new adult and pediatric infections.
Explain why HIV testing needs to live in primary care and women’s health.
List the key points of the updated HIV guidelines.
