Program Overview:
In this presentation, the speaker will give an overview of the diagnosis and management of neuropathic pain.

Objectives:  

  1. Enlist the etiology and classification of neuropathic pain.
  2. Discuss diagnosis of neuropathic pain.
  3. Treatment options for neuropathic pain.
  4. Challenges to treating neuropathic pain.

Speaker Bio:
Masil George, MD is an Assistant Professor in the UAMS Department of Geriatrics, and is board certified in family medicine, geriatrics, and hospice and palliative care.  Dr. George is also the medical director for Baptist Hospice.  She sees patients at the Reynolds Institute on Aging Clinic, various nursing homes and assisted living facilities, and in the inpatient consult service.  Dr. George also teaches medical, physician assistant, and pharmacy students at UAMS.
