Program Overview:
The purpose of this activity is to educate healthcare providers regarding the types of midwives and their licensure and scope of practice in Arkansas.


Objectives:
  

1. Differentiate the types of midwives in AR.
2. Understand the licensure process for midwives in AR.
3. Be familiar with AR midwives’ scope of practice. 
 

Speaker Bio:
Joni Yarnell, MSN, CNM, APRN is a Certified Nurse Midwife and UAMS Dept OB-GYN Coordinator for the Licensed Lay Midwife Program with ADH. She has more than 30 years experience in hospitals, home and birth centers.
