Program Overview:
To educate health care professionals on the Management of Spasticity in the Post Traumatic Brain Injury Patient and Patients with Spinal Cord Injury.

Objectives:  

  1. Define spasticity as it relates to spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury patients. 
  2. Discuss medical options for spasticity treatment. 
  3. Discuss pharmacologic management tools to manage spasticity along with their complications and side effects.

Speaker Bio:
Rani Lindberg, MD is an Assistant Professor and Associate Residency Program Director in the UAMS Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and in Brain Injury Medicine. Chief of Staff at Baptist Health Rehabilitation Institute & Medical Director for the Brain Injury Team.

Thomas Kiser, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor in the Dept. of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is the Medical Director of the Arkansas Spinal Cord Commission.
