Program Overview: This presentation will give an overview of practical plans for patients with life-limiting illness. |
Objectives: - Discuss a palliative care case that served as a teaching tool.
- Explore potential ethical conflicts within the case.
- Discuss benefits of early integration of palliative care in a case and what was learned.
- Define interdisciplinary team roles and how each assisted with improving quality of life for patient and family.

Speaker Bio: Sarah Harrington, MD, FAAHPM is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the UAMS Department of Internal Medicine, in the Hem/ONC Divisoin. Dr. Harrington is also the Medical Director of the UAMS Palliative Care Program, and Chief of the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System Palliative Care program. |
