Program Overview:
In this presentation, the speaker will give an overview of Bariatric Surgery and Women’s Health.

Objectives:  

  1. Discuss nutrition education for hyperglycemia in pregnancy
  2. Discuss appropriate postpartum follow up.
  3. List available nutrition resources for hyperglycemia in pregnancy.

 

Speaker Bio:
Brooke Keathley, WHNP, CDE has been a WHNP since 2009 and has worked for UAMS in the OBGYN department for 6 years now. She has been involved with the management of high risk OB patients since that time and enjoys taking care of patients with diabetes in pregnancy.  got my CDE license in 2014 and now manage the program which recently received accreditation from the AADE.
