Program Overview:

The presenter will prepare clinicians to prevent and treat pressure ulcers in patients with spinal cord injury.

Objectives:

1. Learn the pathophysiology of pressure sores and the diagnostic criteria

2. Discuss the different methods of prevention of pressure sores in SCI

3. Review the different treatment methods to manage pressure sores in SCI

Speaker Bio:
Dr. Kiser is an Associate Professor in the Dept. of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is the Medical Director of the Arkansas Spinal Cord Commission.
