Biographical Info
Thomas Kiser, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is the medical director of the Arkansas Spinal Cord Commission.

Program Overview
Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD) is relatively unknown to the public and seen in healthcare infrequently enough that it maybe misdiagnosed or misunderstood initially. Rapid relief of the stimuli causing AD essential. This program reviews the signs, symptoms, and treatment guidelines for AD from an interdisciplinary perspective.

Objectives
Define Autonomic Dysreflexia
Describe the criteria used for diagnosis and list standard treatment options.
List basic rules for patient safety when handling a potential AD case.
